Morgan Stanley extends commitment to firm element training through LRN

(NEW YORK, NY) October 9, 2003 - LRN announced today that Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MWD) extended its relationship with the Web-based education solution provider. In 1999 Morgan Stanley became a Charter Subscriber to the LRN Legal Compliance and Ethics Center (LCEC), a web-based solution for increasing employee legal and ethical awareness.

Since then Morgan Stanley has used LCEC to train over 40,000 employees in 28 countries on topics ranging from ethical decision making to sales practices and anti-money laundering regulations. LCEC's robust technology platform has made it possible for Morgan Stanley to deliver training in a seamless and effective manner.

LCEC is the world's leading Web-based education solution providing a wide variety of courses on legal, ethics and compliance issues. Through interactive and entertaining tutorials, online handbooks and other educational tools, LCEC helps employees learn how to identify and avoid ethical and legal risks. The courses are delivered through a Web-based platform, meaning no additional software is installed on customers' computers, which reduces implementation time, maintenance costs and technology barriers. In addition, updates and changes to the courses can be rolled out immediately to every user. LCEC also includes reporting features that enable management to track the effectiveness of the company's training efforts.

"Extending this relationship with Morgan Stanley is very important to us," said Dov Seidman, the CEO and Chairman of Los Angeles-based LRN. "They have been a part of LCEC from the very beginning. They helped shape the product and have helped demonstrate the power of the training and the value of the built in reporting. Continuing our relationship is a tremendous vote of confidence that everyone at LRN appreciates."
