3M teams with LRN to provide employees ethics training

Adoption of LRN Legal, Ethics and Compliance Tools Designed to Help 3M Employees to Continue to Apply Company's Core Principles in the Workplace

LOS ANGELES, CA, July 28, 2003 -- LRN, a provider of legal, compliance and ethics education services to Fortune 500 corporations, today announced it has signed a three-year contract with 3M to provide its employees with online training and education in workplace ethics and the law. Using LRN's Legal Compliance and Ethics Center (LCEC) curriculum, the program covers 19 courses to help employees continue to apply the company's core principles to their daily activities. As part of the agreement, LRN will convert 3M's existing Business Conduct Course into the LRN format so that employees are able to access all of 3M's on-line compliance training from one location.

LRN provides integration into the existing 3M learning environment, by providing 3M management comprehensive tracking and reporting features to ensure employees are compliant in the program and to effectively monitor the efficacy of the courses.

Through an interactive tutorial, online handbook and other educational tools, LCEC will help 3M employees learn how to identify and avoid ethical and legal risks. The courses are delivered through a web-based platform meaning no additional software is installed on customers' computers, which greatly reduces implementation time, maintenance costs and technology barriers. Additionally, updates and changes to the courses can be rolled out immediately to every user.
