Rhodia renews commitment to legal and ethics training

LOS ANGELES, CA, July 31, 2003 -- Specialty chemical producer Rhodia Inc.(NYSE:RHA) has renewed its contract with LRN, The Legal Knowledge Company. LRN ® will provide Web-based training on legal, compliance and ethics issues to Rhodia employees through the LRN Legal Compliance and Ethics Center (LCEC) ® , which is known internally at Rhodia as E-SQUIRE.

"We are assertively moving towards a results-driven culture based on the principles of taking responsibility, working together, and a winning spirit," said Myron Galuskin, president of Rhodia Inc. "Responsibility includes adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards. E-SQUIRE helps our workforce stay on the right side of the legal and ethical line."

"To have Rhodia renew its contract is a great honor for us," said Dov Seidman, Chief Executive Officer of LRN. "They were a very early subscriber to LCEC and a leader in the chemical field. They helped form the core of our chemical industry subscriber base, which now includes Dow, DuPont, Rohm and Haas and BASF. I am thrilled that they continue to find value in LCEC and will continue to rely upon it."

The LRN Legal Compliance and Ethics Center (LCEC) is the world's leading Web-based education solution providing a wide variety of courses on legal, ethics and compliance issues. Through interactive and entertaining tutorials, online handbooks and other educational tools, LCEC helps employees at many of the world's leading companies learn how to identify and avoid ethical and legal risks.

The courses are delivered through a Web-based platform meaning no additional software is installed on customers' computers, which greatly reduces implementation time, maintenance costs and technology barriers. Additionally, updates and changes to the courses can be rolled out immediately to every user.
